R., ThirskI am not in a position to state when the Commission will be able to report, but it is not likely that they can do so for a considerable time. I am informed that very extensive experiments will have to be carried out by the Commission, and that for this purpose laboratories and other buildings have been erected on the farms where this part of the work is to be done. 183 It is, I understand, impossible to say how long these experiments will take, but arrangements have been made for the Commission to occupy the farms for three years.
