HC Deb 12 December 1902 vol 116 cc1027-8
MR. NORMAN () Wolverhampton, S.

To ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether a proposal has been received from the United States Government for the appointment of a judicial tribunal of arbitration to settle the question of the Alaska boundary; and, if so, will he state what reply has been sent.

(Answered by Lord Cranborne.) There has recently been a renewal of the discussions upon this subject, but no useful purpose would be served by making any statement with regard to it at present.
