To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he has any information as to the fate of No. 6,693, Private John James, 3rd South Wales Borderers, who is alleged to have been killed on the 25th February, near Klerksdorp; and whether he is in a position to give an official notification of his death.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) No official notification of the death of this man has been received, but inquiry is being made by telegram.
