HC Deb 07 August 1902 vol 112 c956
MR. D. A. THOMAS (Merthyr, Tydvil)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if he can say what amount has been spent by the Porthcawl Urban Council on Newton Burrows to meet the requirement of the War Office; what land has been acquired by the War Office in the neighbourhood; and when it is proposed to commence the construction of rifle ranges there.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) As regards they amount spent by the Porthcawl Urban District Council I have no information. The area of the land leased by the War Office is about 350 acres. The commencement of the work is delayed at present owing to the action of one of the lessors.
