HC Deb 22 April 1902 vol 106 c948
MR. LAMBERT

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether an estimate of the increased cost which the local authorities must incur to efficiently administer the Education Bill will be submitted to the House before the Second Reading of the Bill is taken.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR,) Manchester, E.

I do not think it would be possible to give the information the hon. Gentleman desires before the Second Heading of the Bill is taken.

MR. LAMBERT

Could it not be given by the Committee stage?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I do not think it is information that can be given.
