HC Deb 22 April 1902 vol 106 c948
MR. COGHILL (Stoke-on-Trent)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury if he will put down the salary of the First Commissioner of Works for an early day in Supply, as this was one of the Votes closured without discussion last session.

LORD HUGH CECIL (Greenwich)

May I also ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can say when the Local Government Board Vote will be taken.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

Supply will not be taken on Friday, and it would be premature to make any announcement as to the arrangement of Supply next week or at any subsequent period.

LORD HUGH CECIL

Will the right hon. Gentleman give a week's notice before the Local Government Vote is taken?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I cannot promise a week's notice. It is usual to indicate on the Monday or Tuesday what Supply will be taken on the following Friday, and I hope my noble friend will regard that as sufficient.
