Government Employees and the Corona tion Holidays.

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the dockyard and other employees in his 'Department are to be allowed to choose whether or not they will observe the coronation holidays, or whether, if these holidays are to be made compulsory, the employees are to be paid their full wages.

MR. ABNOLD-FORSTER

The Royal Dockyards will be closed on the 26th and 27th June, which days are to be observed as public holidays. The holidays will be compulsory, but full wages will be paid in respect of them.
