HC Deb 10 April 1902 vol 105 c1439
MR. MANSFIELD

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether Volunteer recruits are to be clothed in the old pattern of uniform similar to the rest of the regiment, or the new pattern as altered by the Department; and also will he say when definite orders on this subject will be issued to the Commanding Officers of Volunteer Corps.

LORD STANLEY

No change is contemplated in the uniform of Volunteers unless they desire it and wish to adopt the new service dress, which would no doubt be sanctioned if the Commanding Officer applied through the usual channels, and if the funds of the corps would meet the expense.
