HC Deb 13 May 1901 vol 93 cc1449-50
MR. TATTON EGERTON (Cheshire, Knutsford)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can say what is the position of this year's Yeomanry recruits who were enlisted before the Army Order of 17th April, 1901; whether attending this year's training will bring them under the terms and liabilities of the new Army Order; also similarly the position of those yeomen † See page 406. ‡ See preceding volume, page 1293. who have still a portion of their three years service to serve.

MR. BRODRICK

Those men who enlisted before the 17th April, 1901, are serving and will serve on their existing engagement unless they voluntarily accept the new conditions.
