WILLIAM JOHNSTON (Belfast, S.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Rhodesian Government contributed any sum towards the pay of the C Battery of the Royal Canadian Artillery during the time it formed a part of the Rhodesian Field Force; and, if not, from what source was the payment made.
LORD STANLEYI am not aware that the Rhodesian Government contributed to the pay of any portion of this battery. They were paid from Imperial funds.
