HC Deb 06 May 1901 vol 93 c765
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate, as representing the Secretary for Scotland, seeing that page xvii. of the Appendix to the Report of the Congested Districts Board shows that landing-places in Broad Bay and certain parts of the parish of Lochs, Lewis, need improvement, will he state what steps it is proposed to take in the matter.

*MR. A. GRAHAM MURRAY

The Congested Districts Board will consider any application which may be made to them in the light of the circumstances of each case, but the initiative in such matters lies with the county councils.
