HC Deb 06 May 1901 vol 93 c771
MR. TULLY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state the total number of all officers and all servants in the employment of all the Irish unions at the date of the last Local Government Board Annual Report; and also for the same period the total number of all officers, including medical officers, and all servants who have given their full time to the discharge of their duties under the present Poor Law Superannuation Acts.

MR. WYNDHAM

Returns of the officers and servants employed in each union are furnished to the Board annually in October. As soon as the last Returns have been tabulated the information desired in the first part of the question will be sent to the hon. Member. The Board has no records which would enable it to give the information desired in the second part of the question. But if the hon. Member wishes to know the number of pensionable Poor Law officers employed at the present date, I will endeavour to ascertain the number.
