HC Deb 02 May 1901 vol 93 c409
*COLONEL LEGGE (St. George's, Hanover Square)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether, seeing that the Imperial Yeomanry are to be trained as mounted infantry, adjutants for those regiments will be selected from the cavalry or infantry branches of the Service.

MR. BRODRICK

The adjutants will be selected as a rule from cavalry officers, but exceptionally qualified mounted infantry officers will be considered eligible.
