§ MR. KEARLEY (Devonport)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can now state the particulars of the pensions proposed to be given to the widows and orphans of those who have lost their lives in the South African Campaign.
§ Mr. BRODRICKThe actual conditions on which grants will be given are not quite settled; but I may inform the hon. Member that so far as the Government are concerned the rates of pension and compassionate allowance to widows and children of non-commissioned officers and men, killed in action or 1545 dying of wounds or disease contracted on active service, will be as follows:—
