HC Deb 14 March 1901 vol 90 c1544
*SIR CHARLES DILKE (Gloucestershire, Forest of Dean)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is possible to state the number of men sent to South Africa by the Dominion of Canada, the colony of New Zealand, and each of the six Australian colonies respectively, and the number in each case who have completed their service and returned to their colonies; also the number in the case of each of these colonies now serving in South Africa.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK,) Surrey, Guildford

The figures are too numerous to read out to the House, but I will lay them on the Table, as far as it is possible to give them.
