HC Deb 11 June 1901 vol 97 c119
MR. T. M. HEALY

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he would represent to the Irish Lights Board the consideration of the case of the family of Henry Williams, a sailor drowned while serving on one of the steamers of that Board on 31st May, off Wicklow; and can he say whether the report made to the Board of Trade on the circumstances of the death led to any observations being addressed to the authorities of the Irish Lights Department.

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

After correspondence the Board of Trade have, on the recommendation of the Irish Lights Commissioners, sanctioned the payment of a gratuity of £50 to the parents of Henry Williams, who was drowned while serving on a steamer belonging to the Commissioners.
