HC Deb 16 July 1901 vol 97 cc591-2
MR. FLYNN (Cork, N.)

I beg to ask Mr. Attorney General whether his attention has been called to the proceedings in the case of the King against John Owen, David Thomas, and others, who were charged, under the Conspiracy and Protection of Property Act, in connection with the Penrhyn quarry disputes, and if he can state whether any of the jurors were challenged or ordered to stand by by the prosecuting counsel.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL (Sir ROBERT FINLAY,) Inverness Burghs

Yes, Sir, my attention has been called to this case. The answer to the second branch of the question is in the negative.

MR. FLYNN

Will the hon. and learned Gentleman communicate with his colleague the Attorney General for Ireland in view of the forthcoming trial at Cork?

* MR. SPEAKER

Order, order!
