WEIRI beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether a Departmental Committee has yet been appointed to consider the best means by which the State and local authorities could assist scientific research as applied to problems affecting the fisheries of Great Britain and Ireland; and, if so, will he say when the Committee will take evidence.
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThe preliminary arrangements for the appointment of the Committee are nearly complete. It will be for the Committee itself to determine the time when evidence will be taken.
