§ MR. KEARLEYI beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether, in view of the results of shooting from ship's guns on board H.M.S. "Terrible," demonstrating that, where special attention is given by officers and men to gun, training and practice, the efficiency of a ship can be increased by at least 30 per cent., the Admiralty intend that Captain Scott's method of training men to shoot shall be adopted on every ship in His Majesty's Fleet.
§ MR. ARNOLD-FORSTERThe Admiralty is fully alive to the necessity of training men to shoot, and all possible means are being employed to obtain the highest degree of efficiency. Captain Scott's method of training is being followed, and a large number of sets of his aiming apparatus have been ordered, in addition to those already supplied to ships in commission.
