HC Deb 30 April 1901 vol 93 c252
SIR WALTER FOSTER (Derbyshire, Ilkeston)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he can state the places in Cape Colony and Natal, outside the district of Cape Town, in which cases of plague have occurred within the knowledge of the Colonial Office.

MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN

The bulletins which have been published show that, besides a few cases imported into adjacent districts from the Cape Peninsula, there have been in the Cape Colony one case at Hermon Camp, one case at Port Elizabeth, and an outbreak at Somerset West. No outbreak of plague in Natal has been reported.
