HC Deb 30 April 1901 vol 93 c255
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he will state at what price cartridges are now supplied to volunteers who purchase them for practice purposes, and is it proposed to increase the number of cartridges supplied free of charge to each volunteer.

LORD STANLEY

In Infantry volunteer corps ten rounds per enrolled member may be purchased at the reduced price of £4 per 1,000, any further supplies being purchased at the rate of £5 per 1,000. Ninety rounds are allowed free per annum for each Infantry volunteer as before.
