REDDY (King's County, Birr)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, when malicious injuries are reported to the head constable of the district in which they occur, it is his duty to report the same to the district inspector, and, if so, what penalty does he incur if he fails to do so.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe answer to the first query is in the affirmative. Such a neglect of duty would be a matter for disciplinary correction, and the penalty would be determined by all the circumstances of the case.
