HC Deb 29 April 1901 vol 93 c37
MR. PRICE (Norfolk, E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the 43rd Company of Imperial Yeomanry is now reduced to less than forty efficients; that most of the officers, including the captain, have left it, so that it is now under the command of a lieutenant, and whether, under these circumstances, he will consider the advisability of the early recall of the company.

MR. BRODRICK

I am not aware of the exact state of each company of Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa. Large drafts have been recently despatched, and Lord Kitchener has reconstituted deplenished companies, so that we have every reason to believe they are up to strength.
