HC Deb 10 May 1900 vol 82 c1239
MR. ARCHDALE

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether the Special Army Order of 3rd November, 1899, entitled Embodiment of Militia, declaring that all recruits already enlisted or enlisted during embodiment are to be drilled at the headquarters of their regimental district for at least forty-nine days, and that they will not be regarded as embodied militiamen until posted to an embodied unit, applies to officers; and, if so, are they entitled to mess allowance for the forty-nine days.

* MR. WYNDHAM
