HC Deb 01 May 1900 vol 82 cc426-7
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate if he will explain why the work of constructing roads in the Park District of the island of Lewis has not yet been proceeded with, although money was allocated for the purpose two years ago.

* MR. A. GRAHAM MURRAY

I am informed by the Congested Districts Board that local difficulties as to the exact line of the "Cromore to Gravir" road have been the main cause of the delay. A line has now been pegged out by their engineer to which the District Committee have agreed, and the Congested Districts Board only await certain information from the District Committee for the road to go on.
