LEES KNOWLESI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War if he will state how many reserve companies of Volunteers have offered themselves, or been formed; and if, even though a Volunteer battalion may be ready to form a reserve company, such a company cannot be formed until the officer commanding the regimental district orders the men to be attested.
