HC Deb 12 March 1900 vol 80 c577
DR. TANNER

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether a British military commission was sent to and arrived at Pilsen, in Bohemia, last December, to purchase guns from Messrs. Skoda's works, and if inquiry will be made as regards results of alleged mission; whether any, and, if so, how many, saddles were sent from Bruenn to the British War Office; and whether 2,000 saddles returned to Messrs. Budischofski by the Austrian Government were bought and delivered to the English War Office after the declaration of war between the Transvaal and England.

MR. J. POWELL WILLIAMS

Perhaps I may be allowed to say that none of the questions contained in the question are correct.

DR. TANNER

I shall raise the point on the Estimates.
