HC Deb 19 June 1900 vol 84 c448
MR. MACLEAN

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury with reference to the discovery at Sully, near Cardiff, of a hoard of gold rings, silver coins, etc., of the Roman period, over which the lord of the manor has renounced his right of treasure trove, whether the Treasury proposes to offer these articles for purchase to the British Museum, or whether it will offer them to the Cardiff Museum, which wishes to acquire the whole collection.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

This matter is now under consideration.
