YERBURGH (Chester)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War what was the reserve of field and horse artillery in this country when the South African Republic declared war; and how many rounds per gun were sent to South Africa with the Army Corps; and how many rounds per gun wore sent with the batteries which went from India to Durban; and whether, in order to make up the artillery ammunition required for the war, recourse was had to foreign manufacturers.
