§ MR. BUCHANAN () Aberdeenshire, E.I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether the officer in command in Mauritius has reported on the recent outbreak of the British Central African Regiment there; and where the regiment is to be stationed in the future.
§ MR. WYNDHAMYes, Sir. The terms of the report are favourable as to the conduct of the men generally, who were undoubtedly the subject of much insulting and provocative treatment by the inhabitants of the island. The second part of the question is under consideration.
