HC Deb 16 February 1900 vol 79 cc230-1
MR. MURNAGHAN

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether the plans of the new post office at Omagh have been prepared: if the request of the Town Commissioners of Omagh for a copy of the plans has been granted; and, will he state if tenders have been invited for the erection of the post office, and when building operations are to begin.

MR. HANBURY

It has been necessary to recast those plans at Omagh, and the revised plans have not yet been submitted for approval. I cannot say, therefore, when tenders for the work will be invited, but the work will probably be commenced during the ensuing financial year. The Irish Board of Works will no doubt be ready to show the revised plans to the Town Commissioners, if they are asked to do so.
