beg to ask the President of the Board that much of Trade whether ho is aware dissatisfaction exists in the neighbourhood at the prolonged closing of the Mountjoy Station on the Great Northern Railway of Ireland; and that the directors have been petitioned on the subject, and public meetings held to protest against the closure as an inconvenience to the people and a hindrance to the development of the district: and will he state if the directors intend to accede to the wishes of the inhabitants and re-open Mountjoy Station.

I understand after communication with the company that they do not propose to re-open the station. I shall be happy to show the hon. Member a letter I have received from the General Manager on the subject.
