JOSEPH WALTONI beg to ask the Under Secretary, of State for War if it be the intention of the War Office to arm the forty-three new batteries of artillery with guns similar to those at present in use in South Africa, or with a new pattern equal in rapidity of fire, range, and other qualities to the latest type in the possession of any Power".
§ *MR. WYNDHAMThe new guns will be of the same calibre and of about the same weight as the guns now in South Africa. The new equipment will be at least equal in all their principal features to any field guns possessed by foreign Powers.
