The following question appeared on the paper:—

MR. JOHN REDMOND

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, in view of the admitted importance and urgency of the question of university education in Ireland, he will afford facilities at an early date for its discussion.

On Mr. REDMOND

being called on to put it, he said: Inasmuch as one of my hon. friends has to-day obtained the first place in the ballot for the discussion of this subject, I will not put the question.
