COLONEL WYNDHAM MURRAYI beg to ask the Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education whether the terms of reference of the Departmental Committee appointed to consider the reorganisation of the Education Department and the Science and Art Department have been enlarged since its 582 appointment in July last; whether the present terms of reference cover the question of the organisation requisite for carrying out the new duties which in April next devolve upon the Board of Education under Clauses 2 and 3 of the Board of Education Act; and whether he will communicate to the House the present terms of reference of the Departmental Committee.
