HC Deb 11 December 1900 vol 88 c490
Captain JESSEL (St. Pancras, S.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether it has been decided that the £100 allowance granted to officers of the Militia when the battalions are disembodied will not be granted to those officers of Militia who are given commissions in the Army; and whether, if this is the case, he can see his way to give the allowance to officers of the Militia who have been serving in South Africa and are transferred to the Army.

* MR. BRODRICK

This question is under consideration. I will endeavour to see what can be done about it.
