HC Deb 11 December 1900 vol 88 cc496-7
THE MASTER OF ELIBANK (MR. ALEXANDER MURRAY,) Edinburgh, Midlothian

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if his attention has been called to the grievances of Indian Staff Corps Officers in respect of their supersession by officers of the British service; and, if so, when a decision may be expected to be arrived at in the matter.

LORD G. HAMILTON

The question of the length of service for promotion of Indian Staff Corps Officers has been for some time past under consideration in India, but I have not yet received any definite proposals on the subject, and I have reason to believe that some months must elapse before any decision is arrived at.
