§ CAPTAIN NORTON (Newington, W.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps, if any, have been taken towards raising the pay of the members of the Metropolitan Police force, seeing that some time has already elapsed since the members of the City Police force received a substantial increase of pay.
