MR, DUNCOMBE (Cumberland, Egremont)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether his attention has been called to certain notices now upon the Paper suggesting alterations of the Standing Orders; and whether he will undertake that at an early date in the nextsession of Parliament the House shall have an opportunity of expressing its opinion of the most convenient and desirable method of conducting its own business.
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURMy attention has been called to the notice on the Paper. But I am unwilling, in the course of the present session, to give any pledges as regards the business of next session. Perhaps my hon. friend will defer this question until a later period.
