I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the sum of £55,000, to be applied under the Agriculture, and Technical Instruction (Ireland) Bill to technical instruction, is exclusive, of the present grants in connection with the Science and Art Department.

Will the grants for the maintenance of existing institutions be paid in future to the parties directly by the Treasury?

If the duties are transferred to the Department, the, grants will be administered by it.
