PIRIEI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether it is intended to appoint a Committee by the War Office to inquire into the commission system so injuriously prevalent in the supply and sale of liquor to Army 779 canteens; and, if so, what will be its composition and the terms of reference appointing it?
§ MR. WYNDHAMA Committee, con-posed of a general officer as president and of two commanding officers as members, is now sitting at Aldershot to inquire into the respective merits of garrison and regimental canteens. The question of preventing the acceptance of commissions will no doubt be considered by the Committee.
