HC Deb 16 June 1899 vol 72 cc1347-8
MR. MAURICE HEALY (Cork)

I beg to ask the Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education if he will state the name of the gentleman appointed to fill the position of assistant in the South Kensington Museum (Art Branch), following the Civil Service examination held in December last; and if he will inquire of the Civil Service Commissioners why the practice of announcing the result of the examination in the Gazette was departed from in such case.

SIR J. GORST

The name of the gentleman appointed was Mr. Herbert Caleb Andrews. I have no authority over the Civil Service Commissioners.
