I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India when the Government expect to be able to lay upon the Table the proposals for the reform of the Indian currency in India lately received from the Government of India?

As soon as the Committee which is to consider and report upon the proposals of the Government of India has been appointed I propose to lay on the Table of the House copies of their recent dispatch, and of a preliminary reply which I have addressed to them.
