HC Deb 06 July 1897 vol 50 c1217
MR. T. M. HEALY (Louth, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, what reply has been given to the memorial from Gulladuff, county Derry, praying for better postal facilities; and, is it the case that in the two preceding Administrations promises were held out that better postal facilities would be provided?

MR. HANBURY

Owing lo the short notice given by the hon. Member of this Question, the Postmaster General is unable to do more than state that inquiry is being made on the subject of the application referred to: but he cannot find that better postal facilities were actually promised by his predecessors in office.
