HC Deb 08 May 1896 vol 40 c879
MR. ARTHUR BROOKFIELD (Sussex, Rye)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether it is the case that the dress regulations for London postmen prescribe that the neckties to be worn should be all of a uniform pattern and colour; whether this regulation is at present disregarded; and, whether he will give instructions to have it enforced?

MR. HANBURY

The regulation to which the hon. Member refers is a new one, which is to come into operation with the issue of the present summer uniform. Instructions will be duly given that the regulation is to be enforced.
