HC Deb 03 July 1896 vol 42 c666
SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT

I think it will be for the convenience of the House if the right hon. Gentleman will tell us what will be the order of business for next week.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY

We propose to take the Resolutions with respect to the employment of the Indian troops in the Soudan on Monday, and on Tuesday we shall begin the discussion on the Finance Bill, which will be continued on Wednesday and, if necessary—which I hope it will not be—on Thursday. Of course, Friday will be devoted to Supply.

SIR W. HARCOURT

What business will follow the Indian troops Resolutions on Monday?

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY

I should think the Third Reading of the Light Railways Bill and the other stages of the business dealt with on Tuesday and Thursday.
