McCARTAN (Down, S.)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, considering the frequent complaints of mariners as to the insufficiency of the fog signal on Mew Island at the entrance to Belfast Lough, he will represent to the Irish Lights Board the necessity of placing there such a signal as will warn the mariners of the danger to which they are now exposed?

Member for the immediate consideration of the Commissioners of Irish Lights, whose delay in carrying out certain experiments in connection with this matter I much regret.
