MACGREGORI beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has yet decided as to the merits of the, claim for compensation made by the Commissioners of Fort William against the West Highland Railway Company for the non-fulfilment of the agreement understood to have been come to between parties, as to a roadway and footpath between the railway and the shore of the loch on which the town is situated.
§ MR. J. BRYCEThe Board of Trade have no power to decide a claim for compensation for an alleged non-fulfilment of an agreement. The dispute between the parties appears to resolve itself into a purely legal question.
