§ MR.MACDONA (Southwark, Rotherhithe)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if he is aware that the Bermondsey Vestry has, without having given notice as to the purpose for which their meeting was called, illegally voted £15 of the ratepayers' money towards the expenses of a mass meeting to be held in Trafalgar Square on Sunday next, to protest against the House of Lords?

The Local Government Board have no jurisdiction whatever with regard to the expenditure of the Vestry.
