HC Deb 17 February 1893 vol 8 c1699
DR. TANNER (Cork Co., Mid)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether he will cause an inquiry to be made into the postal arrangements at Inchageela, County Cork, with the object of a Sunday delivery being granted?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. ARNOLD MORLEY,) Nottingham, E.

Inquiry has been made into the question of establishing a Sunday post to Inchageela, and I am sorry to find that the Regulations preclude me front complying with the request which has been made. The conditions to be fulfilled in such a case are (a) that the expense involved shall be covered by the revenue; (b) that the persons desiring the accommodation shall be in the receipt of two-thirds of the letters, and unfortunately neither of these conditions is fulfilled in the present instance.
